Beauty and popularity only last so long.
Maria

Maria lost her view of what was right
What people said behind her back
Was all that mattered
She became Miss Popular
Also Miss Whore
Her values went to hell
Mixed up in the motions
Of getting what she wanted
She knew it was fake
But didn't care
She was in, she was gold
Never to be tarnished
No longer seen
As Little Miss Simplicity
She was now fancy clothes
All attitude, no compassion
It was what she became
When I left her behind
I'm still here
Not like her, I care
About her, only her
I know what will happen
They'll let her stick around
Until she does something wrong
And gets kicked out
She'll be broken
I'll pick up the pieces
I've done it before
More times than one
She'll be hurt
I'll comfort her
It's not worth it
Popularity has a price
For me, it was my life
I watch her
From my place
She fakes a smile, a laugh
Tries to be perfect
Not knowing when
It all will end
Soon, I know,
I was given the answers
She says something wrong
Right now
They laugh
Tears shine in her eyes
She walks away
I follow, knowing
Omnipresence is my advantage
She goes to her room
Takes the knife
Puts it to her wrist
And cuts
Crimson blood flows
Splashing onto the carpet
I see, watch as the life
Leaves her eyes
She's going now
They did it to her
To me too
When she gets here
We'll plan for their arrival
Hell has its advantages
