A poem about sailing

Sailing down a river on a cool summers eve
With nothing to see but the moon in the horizon and the stars in the sky.
Tell me pleas why I left the land of grey, after sailing through never-ending seas, and down rivers horizon bound I realize it was just another place on a river leading to nowhere.
I was just a frivolous dreamer, yearning to see those fields evergreen that I was forced to leave behind. So I said goodbye to that ludicrous as I sailed away. So far away, to skies of blue I have yet to see on this river to nowhere
Did you call to me when I fled to the river? Did you call to me when I sailed away? For I heard neither cry nor plea from your voice on that day; was it your tears who silenced you? In my heart I felt a great pain knowing that you could not leave with me on my quest. In the dark of night the wind echoes to me a silent lullaby that you once sang so log ago. Reaching my hand out to the eternal horizon I tired to grab from the starlight an image of your smile but eternity was much to far to reach. Why did you say in that lad of gray, is there a thing superior to love in this world? If there is tell me for I have yet to find it beyond the valley of mist,
Now waiting here for your reply I sail through twilights' door to an endless sleep. On this river to nowhere
