My Craving Soul

Fruity Pebbles
they make me get lost
every fruity crisp
has a high cost
It's a vacation from the mundane
that's why letting it go
and eating brocolli
burns the soul

The highway billboard screams
"Snickers really satisfies!"
But is it sugar we really crave?
What about those who are starving.. needing to be saved?
Have we forgotten that giving
really satisfies?
Forfeiting the highs and facing the lows
is the only natural way to go

So I leave the doritos to sit on the shelf
the fast food fries
and donut holes
they hold nothing for me
they can't satisfy my soul
