Another poem about broken love.
So much I said,
I remember the tears I shed,
our love died and burned away,
I am a fallen one, still on my own,
my breathing is heavy, all I do is cry,
I watch the dawn, the sun chilling down my spine,
this would be the perfect moment to leave and die.

Ashes of a burning rose,
falling as my heart beats,
disappearing in the flames,
dying to the light.

Looking at your eyes,
I know I'll be lost,
and never found again,
I saw the meaning of it all,
I was the growing night,
and you were my dawn, dreams come true.
lie to me once and I'll melt and die,
lie to me twice and I'll leave your side,
because I'm the demon that lies bleeding.

Ashes of a burning rose,
falling as my heart beats,
disappearing in the flames,
dying to the light.

So our love died,
you killed it with fire,
burned it to ember,
made it to an inferno,
came across the ashes that was left,
and guess what I found,
you know it as well as I do,
a rose was there, but it was only ashes,
and now it isn't here.

Ashes of a burning rose,
falling as my heart beats,
disappearing in the flames,
dying to the light.
