This is a man I saw on a bus. I often imagine people's past or future and this is his
A middle aged man alone on a crowded bus
Skin that looked older than he was
Hollow cheeks; old hair
But it was his eyes, icy blue
Filled with sadness
That touched me most.
He was happy once
Lucy, perhaps
But too much pain drove her away
She took his heart with her
