This is a simple poem, two friends who met by happenstance that live across great distance
Though Miles Apart

Though we are miles apart
Let us ever remain close in heart
Distance that stretches between us
Though far and seemingly out of reach
Shall it be traveled with great speed by heart and soul

Mountains and Trees, Rivers and Plains
Stretch the distance between us
Overcame with tremendous ease
As our hearts reach to one another
They soar through the skies on wings of eagles

Though we are miles apart
The distance however immense
Conquered by mere words
Propagates friendship from which
Burst forth wholehearted feelings

Though miles apart
A voice with no sound
Stretches across invisible miles
A voice of words like an outstretched hand
Its fingers waiting longing to be touched
By another in a much sought bond of friendship

As the fingers connect
The voice with no sound heard
Another voice of silent words
Extends itself across the miles
The much sought link is forged
Trust rapidly follows in the distance
As words of comfort sorrow and joy
Move back and forth across the miles

Though we are miles apart
Let friendship bind us
Let our hearts guide us
Let love consume us
Let trust flow through us
Let all of these things into your heart
And they will triumph over any distance
Over any mountain or tree
Over any river or plain
That stands in our way
