To all those who feel as if they aren't home
A place that brings me hope
Has forever lost it's touch
Not only do I cry
Neither do I talk much

In a place I've always wondered
How beautiful it must be
I've always told myself that it is worth it
To see the beat up tree

A place of great beauty
I know that it is true
But no matter what the distance is
I'm coming home to you

Let me tell a story
Of how this first began
It makes me sad to think about
The things I could've done

Ten years ago this year
We headed to the east
Leaving nothing at all behind
For no thought of coming back atleast

But a decade later in the summer
I made to see this place
Nothing at all would have made me happier
Not if we moved back and stayed

I saw my home, my cherished home
How to describe how i felt
But I knew at once when we arrived
That I have seen the place of hope

Now three months later
I'm sitting here
Writing this poem
Of which I feel

The only place of which I dream
Is the only place that you will see
A girl like me smiling wonderously
To the hope of one day returning freely

Returning to my freedom home
