How do you say goodbye to the one who holds your heart?

Can't we bridge the distance that is tearing us apart?

Tear down the walls that are holding in the emotion.

Perhaps I'm wrong and love is just a foolish notion.

I long to hear the words I know you cannot say.

Each morning I awake with hope that this will be the day.

I can't stop the feelings...you are my everything.

You make my heart melt...you make my soul sing.

I cannot predict what the future holds.

"Just live each day" is what I'm told.

My heart cries at the thought of a future without you.

But there are no guarantees in life...I know this much is true.
