Im not quite sure how to explain this one
My silk heart which was once full of brilliance
Loses its colors every time the sun kisses the horizon

Each memory, good and bad, is printed on this fabric
My conscious reminds me that it will never come out

With each birthday a new candle is lit
With each day my fabric loses its strength

New generations come and go as they please
Only to be quilted with such an unknown ease

The silk in which my life has been raised
Now is rugged and patched with age

Although my life has only just begun to be stitched
My silk heart will never quit
