If you have anxiety, I am sure you can relate. I suffer with this daily.
Anxiety eats away at me
Until I am nothing more than a shadow of myself
Consumed by my own catastrophic thinking
I lose sight of who I am inside.

My thoughts seem so intrusive.
My worries seem so big.
My fears seem so realistic.
Take all this misery away.

Always stuck in the moment
Until I just feel like I want to scream
Consumed by my own indecision
I lose sight of what I really feel.

My past seems so haunting.
My demons seem so persistent.
My future seems so uncertain.
Take all this misery away.

Tears flow down from my eyes
Until I am drowning in my own river
Consumed by the hurt of my soul
I lose sight of what I’m here for.

Will you help me out of this cycle?
Of black and white thinking
Cure my anxiety for good?
Take away my misery…

The water is getting deeper.
Teach me how to swim?
I’m tired, oh so tired…
Don’t let me give in.
