I wrote this for a class in high school, about a friend who commited suicide.
I once had a friend
who was happy and free,
but that’s not the truth
unless you say this is about me.

My friend was really sad
he was upset and hurt.
One day he got real mad.
My friend is Josh,
but we called him Tennessee.

Josh never looked sad,
he had never lied.
He called out for help,
for he was hurt inside.

They came to him
flashing lights and all.
Inside light went dim.
We all stood and watched,
that was the day Dundee cried.

For our loved friend Josh
had cried out and tried.
He felt no love,
and died inside.

We all stood there,
silent in the street.
We all looked and stared,
but our friend Josh,
had already died.
