A poem i felt when my daughter was born
Your hair was wild, quite a surprise
then i saw your wide blue eyes
with skin so fair, pert little nose
perfectly formed down to your toes

So much more than love at first sight
emotions compounding useless to fight
from deep within came a love so pure
no more self doubt, you were the cure

And when i held you for the very first time
I wept with joy for i knew you were mine
I would hold you forever if only i could
Keeping away all of the bad like a good daddy should

Then came the decision that was pondered all night
What do we name such a beautiful sight
I looked through your eyes and into your soul
There was my answer that made my girl whole

The aura around you a God given glow
Filled up the room like a blinding snow
Tiny but strong you would always cope
As we proudly named you our
