just another poem/ reminder for the holidays
The girl looks up,
eyes full of blue liquid shinning bright
they hold many secrets waiting to be told
a silent plea comes from within
her soul aches for something more

will you listen?

like barren lands
covered in a white nothingness
the world walks silently on

Downtown he sits
wrapped in a blanket, trying to escape the cold
people rush by, afraid to be touched by him
He looks up silently
teeth chattering
blue fingertips
eyes full of blue liquid shinning bright
they too hold secrets waiting to be told,

will you listen?

He looks away, eyes gone still
he, the invisible,
left forgotten, unwanted.

The Old Man looks within
a fire light warms their faces
smiles set a' glow
children run to and frow
adults eating, drinking

The Old Man lingers a moment longer,
savouring the sight
longing for something more
eyes full of blue liquid shinning bright
they too hold secret waiting to be told,

will you listen?

he turns away
a single tear falls to the white ground
tonight is the night
the Old Man, among others,
lost and forgotten,
he lays down upon the snow
a tear falls down low

why didnt you listen?
