New Day

I need to change the way that I live my life.
I want to wake up in the morning
And view the new light of day as a fresh breath.
I want the sunshine to bring a brighter shade of blue to my eyes.
I want the fresh morning air to wake the smile of my pink lips.
I want each new day to refresh my confidence about who I am,
Where I belong, and how deserving I am of happiness.
I want each day's exit from my home into the outside world
To be an entrance into a new, beautiful place where I belong.
I want to have the faith that I can…and will
Be able to handle anything that tries to block my way.
I want to know that I'm worth so much
That even the richest, most royal King couldn't afford me.
Not because I'm high-class or materialistic,
But because I am a wonderful woman
Who deserves the very best of everything.
