i wrote this about a dream.
The smell of ignorance

The wall of glass showed the eerie glow of midnight
Faces wondered without any care
We laugh together
Reality’s presence is lost

Words of pain washed away
Only questions remain
Our eyes ached
But we were alive

Out the window was a dark gray cloud
Ripping up the ground it roared
It was still faint

Closer and closer
No one moved
My heart crept up my throat
Beating and beating

I ran to the bathroom
Clung to the bathtub
The coldness against my cheek
Eyes shut tight

The outcry of the cloud grew near
For sure it was the end
No ones here

The noise faded
No turmoil
The trees did not sway

Everyone was still in place
Smiles still pasted to their faces
No distress filled the air
Just the smell of ignorance
