Loneliness? What's that?
Can you sense it too?

Listen sharp,
to the voice once there.
Now tis but a laugh,
from a one with no care.

See the smile,
not showing one's pain.
Brightly and kindly,
like the sparkle of rain.

Feel the time,
passing by all but fast.
Aching inside,
the pain from ones past.

Smell that scent,
the thing so close but so far.
So out of reach,
like the view of a star.

Taste the fruit,
from the tree so grown of lament.
Like a letter,
written with no careful consent.

Sing the song,
the song of sadness.
Sitting in the corner,
only to hide ones faces.
