A poem that reflects sadness and pain related to greed and war.
Violent Wars

we haunted a human's death
ignored our own greed and anger
felt his breath against our necks
without fear we tasted danger
killed him without hatred
payed no price for our crime
as society crumbled slowly
in the slums of the slime

suicidal discrimination
triggering apocolyptic fame
destruction for the sake of destruction
and who are we to blame?

Violent wars of our governments
Feeding her constant questioning of why?
how do we survive this demonic machine
we grow immune to the death and the lies

was freedom just a joke or an illusion?
killers watch over children's shoulders
forgive me for being blind to this
but ignorance is just not my kind of bliss

anticipate a new kind of freedom
Participate in her slow release
as the world begins to show us reality
society's pitiful aversion will cease

As streets are torn in two by satanic jaws
pay attention when he says "I love you"
With the darkness growing heavily
they never say it unless they mean to.
