Fragments of yesterday.


A torn and faded photograph
A memory long slipped away.
Reminders of a time that's past.
Fragments of Yesterday

Age old letters from your sweetheart
tied in white ribbon aged to grey.
The written words proclaim his love.
Fragments of yesterday.

A wedding dress of yellowed lace.
A rose from your bridal bouquet,
pressed between the bible's pages.
Fragments of yesterday.

Snaps of happy, laughing children
caught by the camera as they play.
All gone, they're grown to adults now.
Fragments of yesterday.

As you turn the time worn pages
the memories come back to stay. 
Reminding you of times gone by.
Fragments of yesterday.
