The end of love, the end of the world.
And the stars flicker to dark one by one.
And the waves grow tumulous before my eyes.
And the moon itself has begun to fade.
I know somehow that the sun will not rise.

And a cold wind pinches my unprotected skin.
And the village below sleeps ignorantly on.
And as the ground trembles beneath my feet,
A tear drowns the butterfly crushed in my palm.
