From me you have been absent

From me you have been absent
I have wondered where you went
In your absence to take your place
Others I was sent

In my heart you were missed
Since the time we first kissed
Try to block you from my mind
But ignorance is never bliss

Plead for release of my heart
So my time again may start
For so long ago you’ve gone
And we will remain apart
