This is a poem I wrote in college about love and perspective
You show me dusky sea glass,
In sky and grass and fire colors,
And one the color of morning air.
And looking through them,
With your kaleidoscope perspective,
You tell me their story.

I show you my dusky eyes,
And you turn them into yours.
I grab your hand and take you
To the drift-wood pile the sea made us,
And we balance on beams, jumping one to one
Until we fall and laugh,
Our bodies making dents in the sand
That the sea fills in.

You show me fog at dusk,
Among the cedars that line the cliffs.
Looking out to the ocean,
We smell salt and cedar;
And I can smell your hair,
That falls around your face
And tells you like a story.
