The fires of love growing in the lack of personal stagnation
Light within me an eternal flame
shades of all colors the fire in me
see past my past’s mistakes
for many are there to be bare
Fill me not with hallow emotion
that I must wonder for truth
take me off my tired feet
that I might find comfort with you

My heart aches to find one
that I know I’m not settling for
are you that one person
Or do you not exist at all
For fear of knowing it is the worst
I don’t ask myself these questions
I only trust in the words
that flow from my mouth so skilled

Trust is but a pattern I’ve learned
by trial and error I have perfected
I say love my heart cannot feel
I say pleasure my body cannot comprehend
you say love we have for each other
you say pleasure is for seeking but not hidden
fulfilled is what we are in our own aspects
your reality is my world of pretend

I can live this way
I can go on in this never ending cycle
I can keep on with the heart break
I can live with the pain you all inflict
I can continue my insanity
no more can I do these things
now that I’ve met someone new
now that I’ve found You

I have come alive upon our first kiss
I’ve tasted heaven when I tasted you
For the first time I have held real beauty
I no longer have to ask questions
my life is no longer without answer
I don’t have to say yes to you
I don’t have to just be with you
for the first time I have chosen
