Alone , a young lover pleads his desire to share passion for one night, and even eternity.
Stay here with me forevermore,
and in all our passion we'll explore;
Scented fields of gentle grass,
and twinkling stars as mignight pass.

That I might hold you in my arms.
To hear your whispers stretch 'till dawn
I pour from the chambers of my heart,
to this angelic face I've held since dark.

Stay here with me, love, rest thy head.
With me in this scented field.
The gentle grass we've made our bed,
upon which our love does yield.

In all this pleasure take delight,
and hold me in the mornings light.
Then all the tricks that time will test.
Stay here with me 'till dying breath.

May every harp in heaven string,
and may every angel spread his wings,
that if by my touch your heart might move;
stay here with me till dying breath.
