ON OCCASSIONS WE LET DESPERATION TAKE OVER OUR SENSE OF REASON AND THAT

You glitter from a distance,
With promise of riches in an instance,
Your aesthetic beauty is appealing,
But your true self soon, time will be revealing,
Your search may not be tiresome,
But your riddance surely is cumbersome,
Desperate eyes seek your cause at most,
Due to future enlightenment of your true worth, that cause seems lost,
You offer bad guidance,
With mystery well stored within your finance,
Ignorance and arrogance, you finely balance,
Who am I, you ask us,
An enigma to our answers.
