A poem about looking at inner beauty
Look at me.
What do you see?
Perhaps you see an average girl or the picture of perfection.
Do you like my eyes but dislike my complexion?
Do you think I’m too fat, too short, or too thin?
Flaws like these make it hard to fit in.
How about looking at somebody from the inside out?
To see what a person is truly about.
Because in a world where looks are used to guide us,
People often ignore the personalities inside us.
What if you couldn’t see me?
Then could you judge me so easily?
Don’t judge from the outside.
Outer appearances sometimes lie.
Don’t judge me by what you see.
Instead take a look at my inner beauty.
