When the mind gives in and depression takes over...
The heart, the center, takes control
Of the mind that was gone too long ago
What is denied, is there, is there
Denied no more, I stare, I stare
I am, I am in control of this
Or is it my control, my control that is amiss, a mist
A mist that cannot form, cannot be one
Trying as I am, I am undone, undone
Call as you will, I am not here, not here
My mind is gone, retreated in fear, in fear
Something else controls this shell
Something risen from the depths of hell
Cornered, cornered, far away am I
In this lone corner, I ask why
As I bleed from my eyes, I stare, I stare
At the darkness that isn't there, not there
The act, in darkness, committed, committed
I cry in joy as my soul is acquitted, acquitted
And from my dark I stare, I stare
With what was never there, I swear
