This is a poem about endings. (Stupid brief descriptions.)
When the last of the roses blooms red as blood
Glowing like fire in the dawn
When the last wave crashes onto the beach
Like a picture-perfect portrait drawn

When the very last breath of the north wind blows
When the last star flickers and dies
When the last of lovers embrace one more time
Lost in memories of each other's eyes

When the sun's last rays splash off the moon
As it once more circles the earth
When the last fire burns lower and fades
At the very last child's birth

My eyes will find yours and my heart will soar
Like an eagle riding high in the skies.
You'll smile at me, and I'll hold you close
As together, forever, we rise.
