Poetry for those who feel everything whole heartedly.
                                Confusion

I lost my dreams; I’ve lost my mind, and so very much more,
I have failed to see the line so thin, that divides love and war,
Visions of a forgotten love still struggle in my mind,
How very cruel the heart can be, so very cruel and unkind,
Ice cold tears fall from my eyes and scorch my broken heart,
I have up on redemption, and my false hope of a new start,
My spirit once soared so high, so very long ago,
My soul once soared the heavens, before it was thrown so very low,
I prayed to gods, who did not answer even the most fevered prayer,
To gods that play with man like pawns and make miracles so rare,
Still like the fool on the cliff’s edge, I pray someone is listening somewhere
Heaven and hell twist upside down for a moment of eternity,
Through my tear filled eyes I have seen things that should not be,
Still the stubborn eyes of mine will cry for all they have seen,
Mortality can be so painful and humanity so very mean,
Through a world of mass confusion we try to keep these things unseen,
Unto the claws of Satan our spirits crawl to rest,
And through failure of our damnation we pass heaven’s test
