A poor woman that doesn't want to marry a rich man.
"Marry a rich man!" they said to me, "He'll make you happy, care free!"
"No", I replied ever so loud "A rich man would be foolish, he'd be to proud."
"But don't you want satan clothes?"
"I'd rather have rags that only a widow could sew."

"A nice large house with pigs to slaughter"
"I'd rather have a cottage with two sons and a daughter"

Then I ran off with nothing more to say, running into another day. Meeting a man ever so poor, two months later we became married at the church front door. Back at the village people wouldn't stop asking, it became more of a hobby than there average tasking.

"You married a poor man!"
"As did I"

"You married a poor man!"
"I suppose I tried"

"You married a poor man!"
"So I've heard"

"You married a poor man!"
"You spread the word?"

"You married a poor man does he love you?"
"His and my love is only true."
