A poem about second chances with the one you love
Second Chances

I don’t know why we lost it or even if you cared,
But spring has come again and once more we’ve dared.
Stolen kisses, hidden moments, words of love exchanged,
Promises made, secrets shared, lives soon to rearrange.

The past is the past; fate has a way of intervening
When true love is at stake, fate has it own meaning.
Whether its destiny or just a chance at the one big hit,
Our love is a huge risk and I think I’d like to take it.

There are big risks and we both have much to lose,
But if you’re holding my hand, it’s your love I’ll choose.
Your family can’t trust me and mine is battered and abused,
So if our love is strong enough, a second chance can be used.

With a little help from the Goddess and heavens above,
We’re allowed one more chance in this dance called love.
Will we make it into a family, only time will tell,
Because for Your love, I think I’d even brave hell.
