Death, release
My Angel

She looked at me in sympathy
The mecha bed creaked as she wound me around
Her eyed hooded and hidden
My comfort was her devotion, her bidding

She smiled and asked me “who is coming today?”
“Your daughter, she will be here?
I could not answer of course, I groaned and dropped my head
A grunt of yes was all I said
A wobbly smile was her answer

She held my hand, stroked my wrist, her smile unending
A swab of water her magic wand
Take me away from this
My torture, my nemesis

A smile twitched at the corner of my mouth
No more pain, I just dream
A memory of days in the park
Picnics and rounders till dark
Hot dogs and ice cream

I have to go, I see your pain
Your smile is my sunshine
We knew each other all be it brief
Goodbye my angel. This is my relief!
