meh - drugs and friends don't mix.
It's the coldest it's ever been in autumn
But your skin burns
Your veins will drip of disappointment
My mood will turn

You'll choke the life out from your arm
I'll look the other way
You'll twist and turn without control
I'll drive you to the hospital

This time it's worse they say

I can't even play our favourite record
Without you reaching for the needle
To stop my heart from singing
To stop your heart from beating

It's not uncommon these days
For you to spend your nights
In a sterilised bed
While I attempt to rest
In a chair, in a room
That was made for me to wait

This time's the worst, they say

I can't even play our favourite record
Without stopping halfway through
You stopped my heart from singing
When you stopped your heart from beating

This was the last, they said.
