about a close friend's hardships throughout his life
He’s lost in the dark
with nowhere to go.
He just smiles and he
won’t let anyone know.
How should I feel when an angel lies?

Falling to his knees as the
rain taps the window pane.
I can see the lines on his face
and can even feel his pain.
What do I do when an angel cries?

Pleading for mercy from
this cold and brutal line
he gives me his secret and I
saw the world for this time
by looking through an angel’s eyes.

He threw away the key
that holds his memories and
It kills him having nobody
there to take his hand.
What can I do when an angel dies?

He wants to run away from
this place and all his pain.
But something holds him down;
the pain, like a permanent stain.
Only in my dreams the angel flies.
