This is a simple poem that I wrote, but I like the tone and the feeling that it evokes.
Through the Rain

Cold and wet the rain falls down.
Racing down my back,
Its beady drops linger.
I have no towel
To cover my soaking head.
Instead, like a lost dog,
My hair droops below my brow.
I race on, smiling at the pavement
Until I reach the weathered door
Of 266 Maple Street.
