A little poem about coping with loss - badly in this case.
Smiling in the rain

The lonely tear of a fallen angel
The last caress of death
The fading light within your eyes
The final icy breath

To die within, and live without
As life looses all its mortal charms
To sleep at last and end the dream
To lie forever in an angels arms

This last tear I shed for thee
A tear of blood my final right
I see it fall upon your face
A drop of pain into the night

I cannot hold back anymore
A cry of pain and guilt and rage
The beast awakens within my soul
From a broken heart, a shattered cage

once more I leave the light behind
once more I step into the flame
I am the beast within the dark
For I know I am the one to blame

You ask me if I've know love
You ask me if I've know pain
Ive cried a thousand tears joy
hidden by the rain

But that was then and this is now
Now you ask me what I fight for
I fight because its all I have
But theres nothing left worth fighting for

You ask me for my concience
To justify my sin
I offer you my soul
Though all is dark within

I walk along this bloody road
The path remains a mystery
Each step I takes the way home
Each step I have to justify

For how can a man of darkeness
become a being of light
when purity is sacrasant
and pain his only right

Accept and you shall see
To walk the path and know the way
There is a choice we all must make
Face yourself this darkest day

But I do not wish to choose just yet
For I enjoy the pain
And no one sees my lack of tears
as I smile in the rain
