A beautiful deep poem about love rejection
The salty tears come back
I don't know how to react
To this painful mess
Standing there, alone in my evening dress
As I've just been rejected I hold my head down
Thinking and knowing that I'll never be selected
Wearing a never-ending frown
I look into the sky and see a light drizzle comming down
The raindrops that never stop
And pops right into the puddles to forever flow
Into the body of the puddle that they'll never know
Is this really real?
I'm so lost and alone I don't know what to feel
With teardrops running down my face
I turn and start my pace
Because this is really a race
A race against time
The clock strikes nine
And I begin to whine
I look into my reflection and see a girl
That makes me want to hurl
All dolled up in her fancy pearls
Who used to feel like she was on the top of the world
How could this be?
All I really wanted was for someone to love me
