Something I wrote last night when I was feeling depressed.
It’s fading away like forgotten whispers
Sands rushed away by winds
Sliced and sore, fresh and festering
Salty tears stinging without an end
Like nails ripped off by pliers
And tongues chopped away with rusty cleavers
I’m losing a part of myself
A huge space of my heart that was filled and heavy,
It’s now getting lighter
And it’s rising up out of my chest to choke me
Leaving a thick cloud of smoke behind it
Covering my lungs like burning acid
Taking away my breath
Possessed by violent tremors and shakes
I can hardly keep my footing
And I’m falling
In a dark void were I can see my breath
The cold is entering my dry mouth
And it’s descending into my throat
To choke me.
