Saying Goodbye to someone you care about.
Although you were sick,
You were still alive,
Your soul and heart beat as one,
I love you.

That afternoon they called,
your soul had departed,
but your memories remain,
secure in my heart.

My tears did not fall,
until they closed your door,
the door of your casket,
the flowers adorned.

We walked in solemnly,
amongst us our family,
your son gave a speech,
The power amazing.

We walked to your grave,
said a prayer and sang a song,
we laid you to rest,
among the departed.
