I'm sure we knew at least one person like this in our lives.
Ice Princess

Ice Princess
wearing her fake smile
halo above her head
tainted at the edges.
Everybody adores her
the crown is hard to keep
it falls heavily upon her head.
Ice Princess
give me the cold shoulder
the smoke on your breath
the pain in your eyes
trying to make me feel compassion
for the fallen beauty queen.
No one wants her anymore
and that's when
she became
real.
