How is it that we never realize how much we really care about someone until they are gone?
Everyday

Just goes on

Fading away

Hands bleeding

Tears of sorrow issuing forth

And nothing

Nothing no more

As their light fades gently away into the clouds

All days before

No notice

No recognition

No thought of them

Just running

Running faster and faster unknowing

You're running the wrong way

Before the light faded away

Before the steady rhythm of a bloody heart stopped

Before everything and more

Did you think

Did you realize

Did you think to yourself of all the great things in this persons life

No

Not even once

But here now

Now as she lies

And your steady tears are streaming

You finally do

You begin to realize what she was

What she meant

How you felt

You realize that you know it is too late to tell her

Tell her how you feel

And how every part of her is gone

Left for but a bitter memory...
