a personified person named Love
Love

Sheltered by the evening sky,
we were wrapped in Love's firm grip.
I suddenly asked Love, "why?"
But he said "don't or i might slip!
Embrace the comfort i give to you
for life is breifer than you think!
If you cast me away for something new,
I'll be gone in just one blink!"

I sat down one lovely day with you
Love, still a companion by our side.
We laughed, and talked, and heard Love's cooe
who was still with us for the ride.
But i suppose you felt a prisoner,
and I, your omnipresent keeper.
For you fled, and left me, with my broken heart
as my one and only listener.

But Love remained, still, by my side
and caused my lonely weeping.
Who were you that missing you, could make me lose my pride?
I tried to run away from Love;
tried running, jumping, leaping!
But, "I" he said, "am not here on my own choosing!
you cannot choose if i stay or go!
as long as 'tis me your heart is still using
i shall have to haunt you, soothe you;
me? leave? oh no!"
