Are they gone? or not here yet?
There it is!
Can you see it?
I bet you can if you try.
around that corner,
behind that door,
in your hands,
in mine!

It is the past,
gone just seconds ago,
or was it years?
I can't remember.

Or was it the future,
the one we want to have,
the one that might be here tomorrow?
How can I know, I don't even know him.

Let's just call it time.
There now,
can you see it?
Permeating everything,
it's easy to see,
but do you really want to?
Do I really want to show you?

The one that takes our love and hate,
to store it in a place that gets harder and harder to reach.
The one that takes our hands,
leading us into a place we don't know yet.

But most importantly,
the one here with us now,
our friend and enemy,
forever reminding us,
we are not eternal.

It is the present,
that we forget every time,
we expect it to come,
we try to remember it,
but we can't see it's already here,
we can experience it now.

It tells us to embrace this moment,
for it is all we have,
it is all we are,
just moments.
