Hopefully this will find its way .....
I can’t get you out of my mind
Kick my feet up, relax and blaze this kind
Zone out for a minute or two
While I reminisce about me and you
Why can’t you just come back?
I’ve changed, I promise, Just Ask
I guess you never know what you got till it’s gone
Since you’ve left I’ve been down and out, withdrawn
Everyday I regret the mistakes that made you run for the hills
The pain I feel now can not be dulled by any pills
Remember when you though I was the one
What was it that made you pack up and run?
They keep telling me…It will be okay
Tomorrow brings yet another day
But their words go in one ear and out the other
YOU were my soul mate, my best friend and lover
Most of the time I trick myself into thinking you still are
My behavior could be called lunacy, erratic and bizarre
But this is the effect you have on my heart and mind
But its over, for now, no longer entwined
In the love affair that was yours and mine
I just wanted you to know
That I love you and didn’t want you to go
