Two poems i wrote when i felt very down and alone.
The first poem is called Growing

As the rain falls,
so do my tears.
As the ice breaks,
so does my heart.
As the snowflakes drip slowly,
so does my blood.
As the seasons,
so do i.
As the years pass me by,
i grow older.

The next poem is called Behind her smile

Behind her smile,
she is back alone.
Back in the darkness,
with tears streaming down her face.

Under this smile,
you will see,
A helpless,
lost,
lonely,
confused,
angry,
frustrated,
worried,
scared,
sad,
hurt,
depressed,
teenage girl.
A teenage girl,
just trying to make it through her life.

Every time she turns her head,
something else is thrown at her.
So she sits alone,
and cries as she takes out her razor blade.

She goes into her room.
She cries as she makes deep incisions on her wrist.
After she finishes making the deep incisions,
she crawls into her bed and cries.
She takes one good look at her fresh cuts,
and she cries herself to sleep.
All of this happens,
behind her smile.
