A poem on parenting and the joys and pains of it
For All Parents

Teenagers are people, the psychologists all say,
this I agree with, in every way;
They are arrogant, snotty, stingy and mean,
Have you ever heard one say, "Here Mother, let me
help you clean."

If there's a narrow path down an aisle,
They'll knock you down, then turn and smile;
Yes, they'll break the commandments and the rule,
Because if they don't, they just aren't 'cool'.

But it will turn out, it's not a bad omen,
In a very short time, they'll be men and women;
They'll get theirs, on this I'll wager,
For then they'll be hated by their teenager.

We really do win in the end you see,
For they end up in the place of you and me;
To this age old war, there is no solution,
So all we can wait for is . . . RETRIBUTION!
