This poem is about someones lost love.
I remember that first embrace like it was yesterday.
His soft lips went over my face like gentle pecks from a bird.
His hands.
So soft.
So gentle.
The anticipation almost killed me.
Finally he pushed his lips close to mine.
He breathed me in for a minute.
Then without warning he stopped and said:
“I love you so much it hurts, had you been a girl, or I we could be together always.”
With that he left
All was silent and dark.
Time stood sill.
When he left a part of me went with him.
The rest stayed and sobbed.
I would love again
But never like this.
Never would I feel the kind of love that makes you weak in the knees.
The kind of love that makes your heart skip beats.
This kind of love is forever left for him.
