It's a dark poem that I wrote during math class after a particularly hasseling day.
I am alone out on the sea
The dark horizon devoid of stars
The ocean waves, a depressive song
As I gaze, ever silent, at the shore afar.
The wind, its freezing hands will take
My heart, my laugh, my tears will break
Drowning within the mournful depths
Of an ocean reaper, sailors’ deaths.
I am alone in this broken dream
The windows shatter, nightmares scream
The sheets are soaked, the ocean’s claws
Are pleading, just one more life to draw.
These calls for help, answered only back
By echoes, the ocean’s far too wide
A distance, the bridge between real and dreams
The last star faded into the angry black.
Hear me, for the storms weighs on my soul
Thundering, crashing, the monster strikes
If the cry is lost out on the sea, by the rising sun
You’ll find only the echoes of a hopeless sigh.-
The ocean where happiness lives and dies.
