this poem was a class assignment based on the Odyssey
Heroism was depleted
upon his arrival of Ogygia.
Her bosom spawned thoughts of love
her lodger became her lover
and her potent appearance
may have caused ones knees to quiver.
Her cosmic eyes caused
Zeus to restrain himself.

Although love a vinegar of sorts
weaved its way upon Odysseus.
Her unweathering love was left unwatched,
and upon his waiting he fled
and storms flooded Ogygia
day and night.
Love was never again.
