a poem about unasked questions.
Since that one night
I haven’t been happy.
The only time I am
Is when it’s just me and you,
Just holding each other,
Not speaking,
No arguments
And no lies.
Just us and nothing else.
Why can’t I just
Forever hold you
And everything would be perfect.
No girls I don’t know,
No painful arguments,
No lies;
Just us,
Time and our love
For each other.
That’s if love is still here.
I know I still love you,
But do you still love me?
Am I stuck living in a lie,
A fake fairy tale.
What happened to my prince charming?
What happened to my glass shoe?
And my ball,
Where I can dance the night away?
What happened to forever you and me?
What happened to happily ever after?
No one ever told me that
Not all fairy tales worked out right.
No one ever mentioned that you love
What you had when the clock strikes 12.
Why can’t my fairy tale be stuck at 11:59.
Why can’t I freeze time?
And still continue to live with you
With no time and worry of what we have ending.
I still need you.
You saved me once,
Now try, with me,
To save the love we have.
I want a life with you, forever.
To say our vows
And mean them,
Until death do us part.
