THE PRICE

Christ was nailed to a cross,
a hard thing to see
But remember he did it
for you and me.

For him it was probably the
least he could do
For someone he loves
as much as he does you.

His devotion to save us
can not be surpassed.
He'll still be with us
when we breath out our last.

His only request is we
trust him today.
And if we need anything
we need only to pray.

Now the purpose God sent
his only begotten
Was to let us know
that he hadn't forgotten.

Forgotten a promise he
made from the start.
An image he had for us
in his perfect heart.

The image he said
was to be just like him.
No pain or sorrow
and free from all sin.

I can't imagine what that
would be like.
But I know in my heart
it can only be right.

Dear Jesus how I thank you
for loving me so.
For the offering of life eternal
and a place I can go.

A place to be with you.
a place we can
Walk as I hold
on to your hand.

The walls will be gone
and forgotten I know
Because there will be no sorrow
where ever we go.

I don't think I am worthy
but you think I am
I don't think I'll make it
but you know I can.

Peter said it best in the acts
I once read.
"Who am I to question
what Jesus Christ said?"
(acts 11:17)
